The Summit Theme for 2026 is the key issue of this era in banking and finance: how the sector is being radically transformed by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The 2026 Summit will showcase the latest innovators. FinTech and AI overlap and are rapidly and radically changing every part of finance and banking. There is no part of the banking sector that is left untouched. Even the retail human to human delivery aspects of banking are being changed by AI – how bank staff are trained, what they say/respond, how they can/can’t upsell is changing.
And all this AI decision making and agentic activity is not all in the Cloud. The high cost of cloud and compute, and AI subscriptions and tokens, is leading some banks (and insurers) to use AI ‘at the edge’ on devices; insurance claims is a great example here; an insurance claim event is photographed and the AI in the device confirms the image is real, analyses and processes the claim and decides on the spot what the claim amount will be, and makes the payment. The productivity gains are immense, as are the ethic and societal change issues that we need to understand and deal with.
An example of Australian AI innovation that is leading the charge around the world, and one of the most popular speakers from last year’s Summit, will be returning this year. Josh Foreman, Founder of Indebted will be speaking on the program.
Josh recently decided to hire a CEO to replace himself so he could lead the AI vision; a vision he publicly shared here.
The FinTech & Banking Summit are delighted to be media partners with leading global AI publication In AI Today, as well as the staple of FinTech publications.
Global Tier 1 law firm, Ashurst, and trusted cryptocurrency exchange, Independent Reserve, have confirmed their support of the Summit for 2026.
