So, last week I had a few epiphanies. I didn’t realize at the time when I booked a quick long weekend getaway to Tokyo with my daughter that it would be brushing up against a 3 city, 2 country road show for one of my clients with only a day in between but that’s what I do. It’s sometimes just what happens in the tourism industry.
Altogether, over the course of 7 days, I flew 21331 miles which even for me, as a frequent traveler, was excessive. I was achy, tired, my body felt out of sorts through a combination of odd seats, different hotel beds and misshapen in-flight flatbeds. One new lesson I learned? The need for compression socks. The second lesson I re-learned was how critically important a true good night’s sleep is.
