Chocolate Finance has appointed Shiv Sharma as its new Chief Business Officer as it targets further growth beyond Singapore.
Sharma joined the company in June 2026 and reports to founder and CEO Walter de Oude.
He will lead its growth and finance functions, including customer acquisition, strategic partnerships and corporate development.
Sharma was previously President and Chief Operating Officer of Stocktwits. He has also held roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Cisco.

Shiv Sharma, Chief Business Officer of Chocolate Finance, said,
“Chocolate has already built a strong foundation with clear customer demand and a brand that has earned trust over time.
I’m excited to build on that foundation as we expand into new products, new markets and the next chapter of the company.”
The appointment comes as Chocolate Finance marks its second anniversary with assets under management (AUM) nearing S$1.5 billion, up about 60% from a year earlier.
The company serves around 150,000 customers and has delivered more than S$50 million in returns since launch.

Walter de Oude, Founder and CEO of Chocolate Finance, said,
“This next phase is about flicking the switch from launch to super scale, to reach more customers and offer more ways to deliver better returns, while maintaining the discipline needed for sustainable growth.
Bringing in world-class operators like Shiv will help us accelerate this next chapter and I’m delighted to have him on board .”
